I guess natural is a possibility, but not high on my list. I love Sunburst equally though, but I already have a burst strat. I loved that Cherry Dot, but I already have a Cherry SG. I just can't decide what finish to go for. I just love playing clean stuff lately, and of course the Casino with those P90s and the full hollow body, gives me the resonance of an acoustic, and a beautiful, jangly clean tone. However, I'm now pretty set on buying a Casino. Those too things, plus the unwillingness of the store to give me a good deal really broke it for me. And, as I already new from playing one before, it didn't sound greatly different to a Les Paul to me. Although the finish did overlap the binding a little around the neck joint and cutaways. The grain really was gorgeous, and it was finished well.
They finally had some Epiphone Dots in stock, a nice Cherry one, and the Worn Brown Dot studio. And with the prices on all the Epiphone electrics coming down I couldn't justify it.Īll was not lost however. They were on sale for $499NZ, but according to the manager for pricing, who I've been in contact with by email, that was a bit of a blunder, as it's not much more than what they buy them in for, so they put the price up accordingly. I was going to buy a Hummingbird acoustic, but they recently increased the price on them.
